MK2 Escort 2.0 Historic rally car “OOO 998P”

Surplus to requirements, has been used by ourselves during last few months on tar and gravel. Won Silverstar and Historic class last time out (Cambrian rally 2 weeks ago). Had a lot of money spent refreshing all its mechanical parts and have mileage sheet available. Good car for someone for 2023 season.

Built originally by Prepfab Motorsport for historic rallying, 15″ tubs, reduced rear chassis rail, sill stand holes, always had full underbody guards fitted hence all floor pressings in floor are good, heated windscreen, pro wiring loom, lightweight build, poly widows, fibreglass bonnet and boot lid, lightweight fixings etc. Fitted with 2.0 Warrior/Holbay historic spec engine, dry sump, billet steel crank (not a sierra cosworth) steel rods, forge pistons, L1 cams, etc Twin 48 webers, Tony Law exhaust manifold with Simpson exhaust system.

Lumenition ign and rev limiter, twin plate paddle clutch , hyd bell housing. Tracksport 4 speed s/c c/r gearbox with alloy casing , 2.2 1st gear. Fully Floating Atlas axle with 5.1 LSD, single propshaft, Bilsteins alround, Watts linkage, Tension strut, quick rack, adj TCA’s, AP Monte Carlo 4 pots, AP 2383 rear calipers, Bias pedal box with mod pedals, alloy h/brake, Alloy rad, oil cooler, alloyt fule and oil tanks, aeroquip throughout, Stack chrono tacho, period pee lights, Trip meter, interior lights etc, Sump, gearbox and diff guards, plus all usual Gp.4 escort stuff, alloy hubs, big studs, etc.

As said earlier this car has had a lot of mechanical maintenance during our ownership of last few months; had the following parts fitted BRAND NEW; complete Gearbox, propshaft, halfshafts, cwp, axle bearings, struts/stub axles, steering arms, top mounts, TCA’s, all ign system replaced, throttle cables, R/joints etc etc …

Comes with Historic identity papers, Motorsport UK passport, V5C , MOT and is now tax exempt. we want to retain the seats, so can be sold with new seats or price adjusted.
